Club overview
The Rotary Club of Kampala Munyonyo is a vibrant, fun-loving and community-oriented club with a 50+ membership. The club is invested in Rotary’s 6 areas of focus; Promoting peace, Fighting disease, Providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene, saving mothers and children, supporting education, and growing local economies.
Since being Chartered, the club has partnered with several clubs in Rotary District 9211 and a few clubs in Canada and USA, corporate organizations, NGOs, and individuals within our community. The partnerships have helped us reach out to support vulnerable and under-privileged communities in Kisenego a slum in Kawuku-Bunga, Nalubudde in Mpigi District, Katabi on Entebbe Road, to mention but a few. We have intervened with clean piped water, jointly planted trees with the communities, rehabilitated a school and provided scholastic materials. Recently, we also extended COVID-19 support in the form of numerous hand-wash tanks and ‘Stay Home Stay Safe’ awareness campaigns.
The club finds time to keep members actively engaged after every Monday meeting for lighter moments. From the engagements, club members and visitors get to network and know each other more in a fun and relaxed environment. We also have regular home hospitalities and get to celebrate each other.
The Rotary Club of Kampala Munyonyo continues to grow ever day thanks to the indulgence our members have. We impact our community with health, educational, socio-economic, and financial interventions.
